Congressional Schedule: Week of November 2, 2009

Senate Floor

Monday, Nov. 2, 2 p.m.

The Senate will reconvene at 2 p.m. and proceed to a period of morning business until 4 p.m. The chamber will then resume consideration of the unemployment insurance extension bill (HR 3548) and will hold a vote at 5 p.m. on the motion to invoke cloture on the substitute amendment to the measure.

The House will convene at 2 p.m. for legislative business. The chamber is expected to consider measures under suspension of the rules. Votes will be postponed until 6:30 p.m.

 

Tuesday, Nov. 3, 8 a.m.

The House will reconvene at 8 a.m., and is expected to recess at 9 a.m. The chamber will reconvene at 10 a.m. for a joint meeting of both chambers to receive the chancellor of Germany. The House will then resume legislative business and is expected to consider bills under suspension of the rules.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 4, 10 a.m.

The House will convene at 10 a.m. for legislative business. The chamber is expected to consider a bill that would modify credit card regulations (HR 3639). The House may also consider a chemical security plant bill (HR 2868).

Thursday, Nov. 5, 10 a.m.
