Job safety protections and workers’ compensation are under attack by some employers and their Republican allies. They’re trying to weaken the job safety law and cut benefits for injured workers.
Now these same opponents are trying to silence unions and limit the labor movement’s ability to work for strong job safety protections and to engage in other legislative and political activities.
American workers need more protection and a greater voice. We call for:
- An end to attacks on job safety and workers’ compensation laws.
- Stronger safety and health protections and fair compensation.
- Improved whistle-blower protections for workers who report job hazards and injuries.
- The right of workers to organize, join unions, speak out and have a full voice in the legislative and political process.
