Trump Would Create the Largest Deficit in U.S. History: Winners and Losers of the Week

Each week, we take a look at the biggest friends and foes of labor. We celebrate the workers winning big and small battles, and we shame the companies or people trying to deny working people their rights.

Winners: Chicago workers, now that they will be able to earn paid sick leave beginning in 2017 after the City Council passed a new ordinance.

Runners-Up: Workers at Sakthi Automotive in Detroit, who voted to ratify their first collective bargaining agreement after threatening to strike based upon their employer's aggressive anti-union campaign.

Loser: Donald Trump, whose economic "plans" would create the largest deficit in U.S. history.

Runners-Up: Arizona's legislature, for passing legislation to block local paid sick leave ordinances.
