Amendment to Limit Union Representation Rights in the Workplace

Apr. 25, 2012 | S.Amdt. 2046 to S. 1789
Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C) offered an amendment to the "21st Century Postal Service Act" that would weaken union representation rights in the workplace. The DeMint amendment would create huge financial burdens on unions by forcing them to spend significant funds on obtaining members signed authorization before participating in worker issue, organizing campaigns and legislative activities at the local, state and national levels. The amendment was rejected.

This is Bad for working people.
