VA Accountability First Act

Mar. 16, 2017 | H.R. 1259
This bill would dramatically weaken due process rights for frontline VA employees by lowering the standard of proof for disciplinary actions and shortening the period for workers to appeal dismissals and other adverse actions. The bill would supersede both the collective bargaining agreement between the VA and its unions and existing civil service protections. The bill passed the House amended.
