The AFL-CIO opposes the "VA Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act" (S. 1094) in its current form because it erodes the collective bargaining rights of workers at the Department of Veterans Affairs and undermines their civil service protections from management retaliation when they report mismanagement or political corruption.
