For Pride Month, the AFL-CIO is spotlighting various LGBTQ+ Americans who have worked and continue to work at the intersection of civil and labor rights. Today's Pride Month profile is Chelsea Bland.
Chelsea Bland is a proud 12-year member of the Office and Professional Employees (OPEIU). She currently serves as the chair of OPEIU Local 2's LGBTQIA+ Committee. Bland is a strong advocate for community service and mutual aid. She is passionate about prioritizing the voices and leadership of Black and other LGBTQ+ people of color within the labor movement.
