Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, the AFL-CIO will be profiling leaders and activists to spotlight the diverse contributions Hispanics and Latinos have made to the labor movement. Today's profile features Anthony Neira.
Anthony Neira has managed LIUNA Local 113 since 2010, becoming the first Latino business manager for the local. He got his start at Spancrete, a prefab concrete structure plant, and worked his way up until he was hired by the local. Recently, Neira helped secure a project labor agreement on a major solar project in southeast Wisconsin. He is a dedicated member of the LCLAA Milwaukee Organizing Committee, working to restart the Milwaukee chapter.
