Working people across the United States have stepped up to help out our friends, neighbors and communities during these trying times. In our Service & Solidarity Spotlight series, we'll showcase one of these stories every day. Here’s today’s story.
The singers of Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and Chorale (PBOC) unanimously won their union election to the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA), two months after signing union authorization cards. Negotiaons for their first contract are expected to begin shortly.
"We proudly celebrate the victory of the Artists of Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and Chorale,” said AGMA National Executive Director Sam Wheeler. “Their triumph reflects the enduring power of collective action and the profound impact that artists can have when they join together. The addition of these exceptional singers to our union only makes us stronger.”
