The extremely important objective of the Presidential Election Reform Act (H.R. 8873) is to prevent another attempted insurrection following a Presidential election, and we support the House of Representatives moving forward on this legislation.
Following its passage, however, the House and Senate must come together on more sweeping legislation that not only secures the integrity of the Presidential elector appointment process and the tallying of their votes, but also protects voting rights and safeguards democracy throughout our nation.
