Backed by dark-money corporate CEOs such as the Walton family and the Koch brothers, the Supreme Court today struck a blow to people who look after our aging families, tend to our sick loved ones, care for our young children, and protect our communities and homes.
The decision harms the ability of these public-sector workers – who often work for low wages –to bargain effectively for fair wages and decent benefits.
Today is a sad day for working Americans, including our 3 million members who don’t have the critical benefit of a union on the job.
But this campaign by corporate CEOs, intended to weaken working people, will not dampen our resolve. Working people will continue to band together to have their voices heard, and they will continue to fight for change in their communities and on the job to build a better future.
