Today’s election of Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Minority Whip Katherine Clark and Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar is a victory for working people. All three representatives have demonstrated records of unwavering support for working families and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. From their support for the PRO Act and public sector bargaining rights to their work on transformative legislation like the bipartisan infrastructure law, these lawmakers have worked tirelessly to advance economic fairness. As a new generation of lawmakers takes the lead in the House, we know they will build on the historic progress made by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Majority Whip Jim Clyburn.
