On Labor Day, workers from across the country will come together to recognize and celebrate the value of work. This holiday is also a good opportunity to remember how racial and ethnic minorities have been disproportionally affected by the weak economic recovery and growing income inequality. Many Latinos continue to be unemployed or underemployed, receive below-average wages and face bleak retirement prospects.
