Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act of 2010

December 8, 2010 | S. 3991
The legislation would extend bargaining rights to police and firefighters in states that do not allow such public safety workers to join unions. More than 20 states do not fully protect those bargaining rights and Virginia and North Carolina prohibit public safety employees from collective bargaining. A motion to end a Republican filibuster against public safety workers' rights bill failed by a 55-43 vote (60 votes were needed to pass).

This is Good for working people.
