Digital Trainings

The AFL-CIO runs virtual training sessions to provide our State Federation, Area Labor Federation and CLC leaders, Union Affiliate leaders and members and all labor activists the opportunity to increase their skills and knowledge. Our training calendar is updated regularly and covers the following topics (click on a topic to learn more and to view upcoming trainings):

Action Network E-Activist Tools

Connecting with union members and activists online is key to winning campaigns. That’s where Action Network fits in. Action Network is an email and digital campaign tool used across the labor movement. It allows you to email union members and activists about updates and actions they can take, set up petitions, event pages, letter campaigns and other actions, run reports and much more. Blast texting is also available in the tool. Action Network is free to use and the National AFL-CIO provides full support and training. Join us to learn more!

Common Sense Economics (CSE) Conversations

Common Sense Economics is a training and education program for working people by working people. The program provides an easy way for activists to get more involved in campaigns and helps develop or strengthen partnerships between labor and community.

The curriculum explains how the economy works and what we can do to make the economy work better for everyone.

Due to the small, interactive nature of these conversations, registration is limited and early registration is highly recommended.
