Nutrition Reform and Work Opportunity Act of 2015

Sep. 19, 2013 | H.R. 3102
After failing to pass a complete farm bill in the House, the Republican leadership passed a separate bill on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)'s food stamps. The bill was the Republican plan to overhaul the nation's largest food aid program. It cuts $40 billion in food aid to families in need over the next 10 years. It would also reduce states' flexibility on waivers and increase the requirements to automatically qualify. These cuts would affect a broad array of Americans who are struggling to make ends meet, including working families with children, senior citizens, veterans and adults who are still looking for work. The bill passed.

This is Bad for working people.
