Members of the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters (UA) Local 562 continue to deliver quality work, despite the challenges of working during the pandemic.

On January 24, the St. Louis Board of Aldermen passed a bill requiring any development project totaling at least $1 million and receiving any form of city funding or tax incentives to pay workers the prevailing wage, the usual hourly compensation and benefits paid to a majority of workers in the area. Board Bill 88, sponsored by Alderman Sarah Wood Martin, also applies to housing projects that include more than 20 units. 

When working Missourians overwhelmingly defeated "right to work" in August, they landed a gut punch to corporate interests that reverberated across the country.

While President Donald Trump’s latest tweets dominate conversations in Washington, something else is going on where I live and work. A movement is sweeping through communities across America — and the fight to defeat Prop A in Missouri on Tuesday is just the latest example.
