This bill would appropriate $4.67 billion in disaster relief to Puerto Rico after the devastation caused by earthquakes in 2019 and 2020. In addition to providing critical funding for infrastructure repairs, the bill would give a significant income boost to low- and moderate-income families in Puerto Rico through the progressive expansion of the Child Tax Credit and a locally funded Earned Income Tax Credit. This bill passed the House on Feb. 7, 2020.
