The AFL-CIO supported the confirmation of U.S. District Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Her nomination reflected President Biden’s promise to appoint highly qualified judges and to expand diversity on the federal bench. Throughout her professional life, most recently as a district judge for the District of Columbia, Judge Jackson has demonstrated a strong commitment to equal justice under the law. The Senate confirmed Judge Jackson’s nomination on June 14, 2021
